DeWitt the Yeti reigns over Trader Joe’s Syracuse on Erie Blvd East — named for DeWitt, the Onondaga County township the store actually sits in. A fitting mascot for one of the snowiest cities in America: Syracuse averages around 124 inches of snow per year, more than any other major US city. Hung here in front of a painted Syracuse cityscape mural, big fluffy white body with gray paws and a wide toothy grin, his TJ badge reading ‘DEWITT — Crew Member.’
