Jonathan the Husky guards Trader Joe’s West Hartford on New Britain Ave — named (we’re guessing) for the University of Connecticut’s beloved live mascot. UConn has had a husky named Jonathan as its official mascot since 1934, currently on Jonathan XV; the name honors Connecticut’s Revolutionary-era governor Jonathan Trumbull.
