McQuackers hails from nearby Lake Merritt, where supervising the store is his day job. By night, he's the Mayor of the Lake — running the day-to-day business of the waterfowl and safeguarding its inhabitants. He's often seen taking breaks from the store on Friday mornings to run with the Donut Runners, the best running group in the area.
