TJ Mascots

Store 49, 14119 Riverside Dr. Bruce — gray-striped shark, the original Sherman Oaks Trader Joe's mascot. Spotted in an Easter basket with bunny ears (this store dresses him up for holidays). Bruce has held court on the north side of Riverside Drive since long before TJ's #267 opened directly across the street with — of all things — a raccoon. He maintains an icy silence on the matter. Crew members report he has not once acknowledged that the South Side store exists, even when asked directly. Asked once whether he had a comment on Rudy, Bruce reportedly drifted away mid-question.
