Grover the Elk lives at Trader Joe’s Elk Grove on Bruceville Road, but he’s notoriously hard to spot in person. The photo here isn’t Grover himself — it’s an in-store chalkboard sign celebrating his return from a well-earned vacation to Elkland Amusement Park (‘HE’S BAAACK! Grover returns from vacation.’), complete with a cartoon of him in a Hawaiian shirt and suitcase. The store has been open since around 2004.
